Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

A functional behavior assessment is a way to identify problem behaviors and develop interventions to improve or eliminate those behaviors. The function will be determined by an interview with caregivers/parents and observations of the child (via Zoom or video).

The fee for the FBA will be determined by the severity of the behaviors and will be discussed prior to moving forward.

Steps:

1.     Define challenging behavior

2.     Gather and analyze information

3.     Determine the reason for the behavior

4.     Make a behavior intervention plan

5.     Monitor and support the plan as needed

Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation with Dunn Behavior Consultation and Interventions is FREE! This will consist of a virtual interview via Zoom to gather information about your child and their behaviors, your family and your goals.

Behavior Intervention Plan

Once an FBA is completed, a behavior intervention plan will be developed.  The behavior intervention plan will outline the function of your child's behavior, recommended interventions to address the behavior, and proactive and reactive strategies.

Observations/Follow-Up Meetings

Meetings and observations will be $50/hour.  Depending on your child and your family's needs, we will meet on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.
